Rules to Remember While Training
1. Learn to TRUST YOUR DOG!
2. Never get in a pattern during your training i.e. trails same length, same age, obstacles in same order, etc.
3. Always make pre-training plans of what you want to accomplish
4. Remember to challenge your K-9 partner - if your K-9 never has any problems with the training trails you're not
making them hard enough
5. Don't be afraid to try new things during training, if your dog can't work through it back up a step simplify the
items the dog had problems with and try again
6. Make your training as realistic as possible
7. Always evaluate each training session truthfully - where were the problems and how can you work to correct
them
8. Listen to other handlers - they might or might not provide you with that piece of information that you had been
trying to come up with to correct a problem you had been having
9. TRUST YOUR DOG!!!!
