Kennel and the Arkansas Alliance of Bloodhound Search Specialists
(AABSS) is excited to announce that the 12th Annual Search Dog Training
Weekend will be held in Pope County, Arkansas the weekend of May 20-22,
2011.
Deadline
for
registration will be May 14, 2011.
The weekend will consist of
intense field work each day and group discussions each evening.
Discussion topics will include areas such as: scent theory, scent
article collection & preservation, case law, canine first aid and
search scene safety. Handlers will be expected to work together in the
field to address any areas of concern a particular team might want to
address during the course of the weekend.
The base for the weekend will be held at Old Post Road Park,
Russellville, Pope County, Arkansas.
There is no cost for handlers attending the weekend, but a completed
registration form is required prior to the weekend to ensure adequate
support personnel is available to assist each team with their goals for
the weekend. Each participant will be responsible for the cost
of their own lodging and meals this year.
